Acer Media Touch does not appear in the Mouse Properties.
An acquaintance gave me an Acer Aspire 5315. Naturally no software came with the laptop, and the HD was bad. I replaced the HD and loaded Windows Vista Home Ultimate. Everything seems to work except the touchpad. It works, but not very well. Acer Media Touch does not appear in the Mouse Properties, so I cannot make any adjustments. I have the latest touchpad drivers loaded. The only thing that shows up in the Mouse Properties/Device Settings is a Wheel Mouse. Can anyone tell me how to get the Acer Media Touch to show up in the Device Settings?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the drivers, but that didn't help. When I reinstalled the new drivers, the Synaptics driver is not listed under 'Mice and other pointing devices' in the Control Panel/System/Device Manager folder. It just will not show up. I guess it's no big deal. The touch pad still works. It would be nice to have it properly listed.
