Acer Updater Compatibility

Member Posts: 2 New User

I'm wondering if someone can help me.

I tried to do an upgrade to windows 10 but after it had completed, all programs that had come with my laptop (Acer Aspire 5749) had been removed and put in a seperate folder named "Removed Apps". I could not reinstall them from the folder so got on to microsoft support. They told me that I would have to do a factory reset which i did. Following this all the programs were restored and so was the original version of windows that came with the desktop. The first thing I did was a windows update but a lot of the updates didn't install but any updates now seem to install okay . Now each time I turn on the desktop the following message appears  "Acer Updater has a known compatibility issue with this version of Windows. For an update that is compatible with this version of windows, contact Acer Incorporated." The version of windows I'm currently on is Windows 7 Home Premium, Service pack 1.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
