XB270HU - Is this considered an "acceptable" black level?

I got a brand new XB270HU based on its excellent reviews and everything was beautiful until I watched a dark trailer. Suddenly it dawned on me that I couldn't see BLACK in the corners. Just a muddy brown. I checked on a completely black screen image and... My corners are very messed up. There is no way to get black, in both a lit room or dark room. Does ACER give exchanges on panels like this?

What kind of monitor?    I bought a reg led monitor and the color faded to a lighter color the lower it went.   I was told it was a defect and they would replace it. I found an AOC that promised no distortion in the  color.  That was not their wording, but that told me it was a problem with new LEDs.  This was 2 or 3 years ago.

Yeeesh, that's some wicked light bleed. I've seen pics of other folks with the XB270HU complaining about light bleed, but never to this degree. Hopefully they can RMA it for you.

Wow, I've seen a few other backlight bleed pics for this monitor and this is just unacceptable for a £700 monitor.

You have to return this Smiley Mad

I've been watching this monitor for some time and I have to say by the reports of hair, dirt and backlight bleed from the initial pre orders I have been very much put off.

When spending £700 on a Monitor you should not have to cross your fingers to hope that you get a *good one*.

I really would like to know Acer's opinion on your case. My monitor looks like this:
