Cannot connect to LCD Projector, acer aspire p3, windows 10
I just got my Acer Aspire P3 upgraded to Windows 10 few days ago.
Yesterday I found that I cannot connect the laptop to LCD projector anymore.
While googling to solve the problem, I then noticed again that I cannot chage the screen resolution of my laptop as well-which might be the original cause(?)
I then updated all the drivers using the resource from Acer Website.
But the problem is still there..
Any help, Please

probably the main issue is from the Intel VGA driver.
when you connected the projector, have you tried to press windows key logo + p and selected duplicate?
this to check if you can mirror the screen image to the projector?

Thank you for your suggestion and sorry for my late reply, just got the opportunity to try the LCD again.
After I try your advice, the screen showed sth as in the picture
So I might have to wait for the driver then.
Thank you

Download the Intel VGA driver:
and install it.

Thank you again for you advice.
Unfortunately, the driver version 10.18.10.4242 didn't help. The same pop-up was shown after I pressed logo+P.
Actually, I had other two versions; 10.18.10.4252 & 10.18.10.4276, installed and tried as well, neither of them worked.
Any other advices?
Thank you so much.

i see an yellow exclamation mark, so there is a problem with the driver.
please take a screenshot of events tab on HD400 properties.
then
right click the Intel HD4000, choose uninstall and tick also to uninstall software.
reboot and then check which drivers windows 10 suggest you from windows update.

Good luck and bad luck
I did what you suggested by uninstall & reinstall the driver. Thelast time I noticed that the yellow exclamation sign was gone.
I then restarted my computer.
And, bad luck, now my computer booted to a black screen without mouse cursor.
Am trying to get into the safe mode at the moment.
Any other suggestions with this new situation?
Thank you

Now I got my screen back, don't know why.
Related to the display adapter, (I think the Windows auto-update managed to get the lastest driver 10.18.10.4276) It's gone back to the original situation;
*Yellow esclamation sign
*Error Code
*and cannot project to LCD projecter
Maybe I really have to wait for the most appropriate driver then.
Thank you for your help,
Manoch
