OK, I am a newbie to the community but need a question answered.
I have an acer aspire v3-571 that i recently upgraded to win 10 pro, I previously had win 8 pro and 8.1 pro after upgrading from win 7 which came with the laptop. My question is that I have lost bluetooth functionality with this system, and would like to get it back. Anyone have experience with this issue? I lost my card reader a year ago, and had to buy an external keyboard after certain keys stopped working on the keyboard. It would have been cheaper to buy a whole new laptop than get this one repaired I was told.

If you lost bluetooth with the upgrade to Windows 10, it's a driver issue and you'll have to find a driver that works.
If it was lost before windows 10, you might want to get a USB bluetooth adapter, like this:

It was pre win 10 install. the other day I went to best buy and bought an insignia bluetooth adapter, it worked once, and then every other time it crashed the computer. I tried it on my old dell laptop running win 10, and the same thing. I even tried another smartphone and that too crashed the system. Kensington also sells a bluetooth adapter, but that too only supports up to win 8.1. On the acer support site for my laptop, there's two drivers. atheros and broadcom, how do I tell which one is on the mainboard?

Go to device manager and click on sound and you will see the name.
I have the bluetooth adapter I showed you and it has worked great in Acer and lanovo.

Doesn't show......I'm in canada, so the exchange and duties etc would not make sense to buy the device.
