Acerc720 screen stays very dim and will not brighten

I have a (student) Acerc720 that was dropped, and now the screen will not brighten. I tried the powerwash suggestion recommended here, and also checked to see if the function keys were turned on (not an easy thing to do with the screen so dark). Nothing so far helped.
Any other suggestions?

Hello,
Chek the EDP cable/LCD connector like thos:
- Unscrew the screws of the bottom
- Remove the bottom
- Disconnect the battery from the motherboard
- Remove the LCD bezel
- The LCD connector is located in middle and under the black tape. Check if it is correctly inserted.
If that doesn't solve your issue, the LCD panel is defective.
