Man.. this could be a lifesaver my SW5 012 with 32 gb is almost out of space and I've just bought the thing , installed Office and and a few little things. I was beginning to think I'd made the stupidest purchase on the planet from Acer. But this gives me hope though I'm not a sophisticated user. Good to know you guys are out there!

A couple of questions for this middle skilled amateur. How do I delete all partitions?

Will I be prompted that I need a particular update to load Windows 10?

Doesn't the clean install from the USB just reinstall the 8.1 plus 10 which I read elsewhere continues to have a recovery partition built ito it?

    Thanks

    Paul

After you perform a clean installation of Win10 from USB pen, you will lose tour recovery partition. But you will be able to re-install win8.1 by performing a clean installation of it. Th most important step of the procedure i described consists about Win10 license activation. Wihout the Update-> Activation step your clean installation of win10 will not be able to complete.

Thanks for the reply. Is there still a driver issue as far as you know? I spoke with Acer support and they were a little dubious about an amateur pulling it off successfully, but how does a person get by with only 3 GB?

    Cheers
