I have an Acer Aspire Switch SW5-012-13TT (refurbished) running Windows 8.1. I have had the devide a little over one week, and about 48 hours ago, I started to notice problems with the System Icon for Power. Initially, the icon was not displaying correctly when I let the cursor hover over it to see the power level as a tooltip; it would remain stuck at the same level regardless of whether it was charging or discharging, until I clicked the icon, at which point it would show a correct power level for that moment

Around fourteen hours ago, the problem elevated to permanently displaying 100% power, regardless of attempts to view it through other means. Restarting the device did not make any difference. The device lost power twice while displaying this power level; both times, after plugging the device in and allowing it to charge, it displayed a rising power level until it reached 100%. After this, I unplugged the AC adapted and operated the device solely on battery power, finding that it still displayed 100% power.

I have tried adding an alternate battery gauge, as well as installing BatteryInfoView as recommended in some other threads on this site. Neither of these indicate anything different from the system icon.

An update: after allowing the device to discharge completely a third time and then charge back to 100%, the battery display now appears to work normally.
