I thought I read the Lollipop required 2 gigs of RAM. I am hoping I am wrong..... I just searched the web and can't find any info on RAM requirements for it so maybe not. If not would be great to see it come sooner than later... I've seen in the past how some of the major companies drag their feet, sending out the OS upgrades... so cross your fingers and hope for the best but expect a long wait Smiley Happy

Looks like your suspicions about the RAM requirement are correct. Its been over a year now and Acer just release te B1-770 wich is Lollipop 5.0. So it looks like te B1-730 will  ot be receiving any upgrades past 4.4.2.  Acer has been incredibly silent on this issue to which  is disapointing.

No it's only 1 Gb..... they are running it on the 1st Gen Moto E (which is my phone, unfortunately due to using Tracfone Prepaid I won't be getting it) which is only 1Gb.

But you are right about one thing.....Acer is dragging their feet and also not saying anything and with Android 6 already on the horizon this makes me really mad. I had a choice of 3 tablets and since it was Acer I said this is the one, I thought the bigger companies wouldn't just drop their hardware in favor of the new stuff. I have had prior experience with Toshiba so you think I would have learned but apparently I do not. Acer apparently doesn't care about anything they have already thrown out on the market. I knew I should have bought a Nexus.... Google is the only company I have seen (so far) that properly supports their tablets / phones, past and present. Acer you have lost a customer for sure
