Acer Aspire s7 392 - power will not turn off
After intalling win 10 my Acer Aspire S7-392 sometimes will not turn off. Especially if my Acer has been on for a while. Also when I close the desktop lid and later open the lid, the computer will not start (black screen). I have to manually turn off by pressing power. Have anyone the same issue on their Acer Aspire S7-392? Please respond if you have a solution...

I FINALLY found the solution for the power-off/sleep problem;
Go to Control Panel
Click on Devices
Under System Devices find .....Intel Management Engine Interface
click on it, then right click to find properties
under Driver it will tell you which version you have.
Mine was ver. 11 --- which is the culprit.
I choose to roll driver back to 9.5.xx
Once I did that roll back.....I no longer have the shut down issue.
Hope that works for you.

Did you update all of your drivers from Acer's website?
I noticed some of the drivers are for Broadwell and some I assume are for Haswell. If you don't know if you have broadwell or haswell, then you first must figure that out....before you install any drivers.

I have installed all the new drivers for Haswell (4500u processor).0

I should have said drivers and BIOS. What BIOS version do you have?
Have you gone to control panel>power options and checked to see if it's a power management setting issue?
If you have all the Acer drivers and your BIOS is up to date....and your battery is not low or critically low when it happens....then I'm out of ideas.

I have BIOS version 2.12. I have checked power management options in win 10. Is there an Acer program I should check?0

I should also add that when I try to turn off my laptop the screen goes black, but the fan still goes while the light is still on. I also think it might be a driver problem, but I have updated everything...

Download the driver here:
and run it in Administrator mode. Then do a power reset. Now you can power off.
