Hi Guys,

After the Windows 10 upgrade only 8GB empty space left on my HDD (before the upgrade I had 40). How I can make more space? Disk clean up gave me only 500MB.

Thanks,

Timur

    Perhaps remove Windows.old folder?

I used macrium reflect to image my 160GB SSD in my w700p before proceeding with the upgrade in case anything went wrong. I suposed not very relevant but I thought I'd mention that. I notice on my system post upgrade there is a hidden $Windows.~WS folder that uses almost 6GB on mine. I have no idea what it is. But I think it is as a result of the upgrade. Disk cleanup tells me there are 130MB of log files from windows upgrade. Aside from that I can't locate anything else. But it doesn't look like I gained a lot of extra space used up in the upgrade on mine. My friend said something about he thought it saved some stuff so you could revert back to before you upgraded. And that would get cleaned up at a later time by windows if you don't revert back after a certain time.

Your friend is right, once the month alloted to deciding if you will keep W10 or roll back is completed the space will be freed up again.
