Aspire S7-391 Black Screen

Member Posts: 6 New User

I have this pc and turn it on but all I see is only a black screen. No logo, nothing.

I tried to push the power button for the 30 sec reset, pushed the battery button on back, removed the battery and the ssd, ran Fn+Esc with BIOS on flash drive - nothing helped.

Power works, still all black.

Any ideas? Anyone?

One of the memory IC is probably defective (shared memory with the Intel Graphic controller).

Unfortunately all components are directly soldered on the motherboard (all in one):

CPU, memory, WLAN, BT and RTC battery.

I suppose that your laptop is out of warranty.

    Hello,

Do you have the same issue with an external monitor or a LCD TV in using the VGA or HDMI port?

Using mini HDMI converted to VGA, connected to external screen - no image. Screen shows "no signal".

Q: You haven't forgotten to press on:

[Fn]+[F5]: Display toggle - Switches display output between the display screen, external monitor (if
    connected) and both.

[Fn]+[F6]: Screen blank - Turns the display screen backlight off to save power. Press any key to return.

With this PC it is [Fn]+[E] and [Fn]+[R].

I tried that as well. No good.

Then I'll try to remove all I can... Hate un-thoughtfull technology like this!

So... disassembled all I can and found nothing useful...

I accepted you decision as for the memory IC.

I am not so happy that this PC made to be unfixed and so complicated for technical work.
