My computer, m5-481PT wasn't on the list.  It still upgraded.  By trial an error I found a couple of models that were similar and I downloaed and ELAN driver for my touchpad as the driver that was in place for the upgrade didn't work very well.

So, if your compmuter isn't on the list and your computer passes the Microsoft test (icon in system tray), then try to upgade and then look up the specs on the computers on the approved Acer list and replace the driver.

Good luck!  Windows 10 is very nice -- better than Windows 8.1

Windows 10 is asking more space on drive C:

I removed most of the programs installed including those of Acer and also Acer Recovery Management but it is still asking for more space over 5 GB. It seems it cannot use the 9 GB compressed volume. What can be done now?

I tried the Windows 10 DVD (ISO downloaded from Microsoft) it is asking the product key.

According to Microsoft Community website it is necessary to do the first installation as an update and register the product before making a new clean installation.

    What can be done now?

    Thanks

    When not enough space

    1) Install a microSD card of 16GB or greater

    2) Select use external hard drve

    3) Click in the menu space, the SD card should appear

    4) Select the SD card.

Thanks for the reply but it does not work I tried it before posting yesterday.

In addition to the external space of 9+ Gb it is asking to have a total 14+ Gb free space on drive C: to proceed with the installation of which I had 9 Gb free available and is asking for an additional 5+ Gb free space on drive C:

I had both the SD 16GB & USB 32Gb attached and neither was enough to proceed because still is asking for an additional 5+ Gb free space on drive C:
