    Hello,

First you have to check if [F12] is enabled in the bios setup utility:

1- Press [F2] when you see the Acer screen

2- Enabled [F12] Boot Menu in the Main tab

3- Press [F10] to save and exit

    4- The laptop restart automatically

5- When you see again the Acer screen, press [F12] and select the boot device (UFD)

    Note:

    UFD: USB Flash Drive

    Hi,

If you want to boot or install Windows 8.1 from a flash drive, follow the steps below:

    1. Secure your Windows 8.1 .iso file.

    2. Search the Internet for 3rd party tools that "burns" an .iso image to a flash drive, like Rufus.

    3. After burning the image, boot from the flash drive (Check your BIOS first if it supports booting from flash drive. If it does, set your flash drive to boot first (put it in top of your BIOS boot list.)

[EDIT]: It might be necessary to plug in your flash drive first before going into the BIOS.
