Activate webcam

Hello,

I recently got the Travelmate P645-SG and would like to use the webcam but I think it isn't installed. If I search start for cam there are no results and it isn't listed in hardware either. I tried to find the appropriate driver on the acer website but there were no camera drivers. What do I need to do to be able to use the webcam?

Try and access the Acer Recovery Management tool and see if you can reinstall the drivers from there. If there are no drivers listed it means it uses the default Windows drivers and you can load an application that uses the webcam to see if it works (Skype, Google Hangouts).

Hi,

I had downloaded "acer crystal eye webcam" online and the camera couldn't be detected but I tried skype now and it worked! Are there any programs I can download to use the webcam by itself (outside of skype/ messaging services)? I couldn't find any in the acer support section.
