toggle usage of f keys

I have the Acer Aspire ATC-605-UB10. I'm still using the keyboard that came with the computer. Is there a way I can toggle the f keys so I don't have to hit the Fn key? In other words, if I want to increase or decrease the volume, is there a way I can do that without having to hit the Fn key first? Thanks

I couldn't figure it out either. So I bought this logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo and it has seperate buttons for volup,voldown,mute.
Edit: in the logitech photo, the top 3 buttons on upper right of keyboard are mute, voldown,volup.
