On my w700, crysis 2 dont work. I always get this Message: Error: Cryinput.dll could not be loaded! This is likely due to not having Xinput support installed. Please install the most recent version of DirectX runtime. I have the newest version installed. Maybe someone can help me.

There is a video on youtube, where it works.

The W700 ships with an Intel HD 4000 graphics adapter.

Minimum System Requirements for Crysis 2

    • Internet connection required for activation.
    • OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7
    • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz or better
    • 2 GB RAM
    • HDD: 9 GB
    • DVD ROM: 8x
    • GPU: NVIDIA 8800 GT 512MB Ram or better
    • Audio DirectX 9.0c compatible
    • Keyboard, mouse, or Microsoft Xbox 360 controller for Window

Perhaps the YouTube video explains exactly what they did to get it running?

It is not something for which we will be able to provide support.

    Hello AndreasS,

Keep an eye on Intel drivers as they have a very good team working on HD3000/4000 drivers and game compatibilities Smiley Happy

They may even have given instructions on Intel's drivers pdf.

The problem here is not in Intel's drivers or the absence of an nVidia GPU! You are simply missing DirectX Smiley Happy

Windows 8 have only DirectX 11 runtime libraries by default! You have to install the DirectX runtime found HERE and the game should start normally! BTW this is a common problem. Many games need these Runtime libraries to work on Windows 8 (and Windows 7 too)

Windows says it can't install this version of directx 9, because there is a newer version installed, directx 11!

    What shall I do now?

Then try this one: click I've just tried it and it installs fine! Have in mind that the exe you will download is a selfextracted archive and after extraction you will have to the folder you extracted it and run setup.exe

I tried this already. It has installed the files, but crysis 3 demo gave me the same error massage.

In another board someone said, he replaced only the xinput1_3.dll 64bit file with the newest he found. But this info is from 2010 and not especially for w700 and win8.

What do you think about that, any other ideas?

The funny thing is that after installing the DirectX Runtime last night to test if it will install, Crysis 3 stopped working for me too! I'll investigate today and report on the matter later today!

What the hell is going on??? Today I tried Crysis 3 again and there was NO error again! The game started normally!! Maybe it was the fact that i restared the tablet? I don't know... but it is working for me again....

Did you get the same error as me?

Any Ideas what I can do?

Yup! The same Cryinput Xinput *****! It is DirectX related I'm 100% sure! Last night I tried the Runtime package before posting it here and after that Crysis 3 stopped starting (It worked before that) This morning I was creating a Backup drive so I can remove the backup partition (the 128GB W700Pro don't have recovery DVDs, it has a hidden recovery partition) and after creating the backup rive I restarted the Tablet to see if the backup drive boots. Then I started windows again (I didn't change anything with the backup!) I started Crysis 3 again so I can see the error again and search for a fix but to my surprise the game started! Try to restart yours (full restart, not that fast boot ***** that is enabled my default!) This my help or may not...

Oh and my tablet is with Windows 8 Pro by default!
