After Bios update .EFI error
Tinkerer
Hi!
My ACER modell: E5-572G 59D7.
When I updated the Bios v. 1.03-1.06, then the update was successful. But!!!
I had two Operation Systems on the HDD: Ubuntu gnome 14.04.2 & windows 8.1. The machine booted with grub.
After Bios Update the Machine booted only windows. I'm looked the efi, & I set the grubx64.efi again. I restarted the machine, and step in the bios again.
In the boot order not appear the GRUB, I set in vain!
Now I've not bootable operation system...
Sorry for my bad English.

Succeeded!!!
I set the flags, because the bios flash somehow deleted it. You can set Any kind Linux live CD with Gparted

have you looked at the bootable device priority list on BIOS?
probably after the update, windows boot manager was reset as first bootable device.

Hi Ironfly!
Yes I`ve looked, but not appear in the menu the choosed .efi. In my case the grubx64.efi.
It is bios version fault. How to degrade my bios?

Hi Ironfly!
If I disable the Secureboot, can`t choosing efi. Nothing does boot. I tryied repair the boot with win 8.1 installer, but it can`t do. How can I repair, or reset the Bios?
