aspire 5735 keyboard problem

Member Posts: 2 New User

Hope this posted on the correct forum, apologies if not.

I have an Aspire 5735, it looks like one key has broken.

Is there anyway I can confirm it is the key and not keyboard mapping or something similar. I have had a quick look at keyboard mapping and cant find anything.

It is the key adjacent to the left hand shift key, i.e. not / but the other slash !

This now becoming a pain as I use my laptop to remote login into my Raspberry PI and I need the key for entering a newline and piping commands together.

cheers

Steve

    windy54,

If that key is not working when pressed the cable connecting to the motherboard could be loose (doubtful) or it could be a defective keyboard itself.

Thanks for the response, I was 90% certain it would be the keyboard, just wanted to make sure there was nothing else.

Oh well, have to decide what to replace it with
