4k Ghosting fix for Monitor CB280HK bmjdppr?

I just bought the CB280HK bmjdppr http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.PB0AA.002

I noticed a discernable amount of ghosting during my experience playing various games in 4k (GTA V / Diablo 3). I'm playing on the display port @ 60hz I know this monitor has a 1ms refresh rate but it's very noticeable and actually makes it annoying enough to be an issue for me and I'm not picky. Granted this is an economical 4k monitor but is there anyway to fix/address the ghosting issue? Cables? (I'm using the ones that came with the monitor)? (going G-sync?) YCrCb vs RGB colour mode? Maybe a setting I can tweak? Otherwise it's being returned for a better screen. Even something like Diablo 3 looks great when you stand in one spot but as soon as you move there is also slight noticeable smear like effect going on. I'm playing on a Zotac GeForce GTX 980 AMP! Edition for reference, I've dropped my in-game settings in various games to get a decent enough frame-rate.

Thanks
