    Hello,

If I understood correctly your demand, you would like to update with:

    - 1x mSata SSD of 1Tb (Sata 3)

    - 1x Sata SSD of 1Tb (Sata 3)

In original configuration, we find some models of Aspire V3-772G with:

    - 1x mSata SSD of 250Gb (Sata 2)

    - 1x HDD of 1Tb (Sata 2)

The Sata interface is backward compatible (a Sata 3 device works on a Sata 2 port/connector)

    Hi

    I have an Acer V3-772G (747a161TMakk, Model VA73)

The laptop came from factory with 1TB HDD only.

    I know I have a free mSATA and a 2nd 2.5" bay.

Do you know if it is possible to add an mSATA drive on this laptop? (I am asking because I dont want to invest money and then the laptop will not recognise it because for some reason like: feature not supported on this model)

    Hi vasco,

Yes, here are the original SSDs:

    Spoiler
    KN.1200N.002FLASH DISK.120GB.SSD.INTEL
    KN.1280A.002FLASH DISK.128GB.SSD.TOSHIBA.MSATA
    KN.2560A.002FLASH DISK.256GB.SSD.TOSHIBA.MSATA
    KN.2560L.004FLASH DISK.SSD.NAND.256GB.LITE-ON

Toshiba: HG5d series datasheet (original SSD mSata of 128 or 256Gb).

I wouldn't look at those parts listed by laurent_14, if I knew I could buy something more reasonably priced and be able to return it if it didn't work.  Those part #s listed online are borderline highway robbery with their prices.

For mSata 250GB. I would look here:

    http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-MX200-500GB-mSATA-Internal/dp/B00RQA6GF0

For SATA, I would look here:

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RQA6M5Y/ref=psdc_1292116011_t2_B00RQA6E20

I'm not sure which country you live in...regarding prices...and return policies.  Amazon has a very good 30 day return policy.  It would be well worth looking in to.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Hi, thansk for the answers.

Since I have a 1TB HDD on the side, i guess i would just get an SSD (mSata) to keep windows and apps inside (although games and photopshop and similar heavy stuff would still be in the external 1TB HDD)

So for that I believe that 120/128GB would be enough for windows. For that size I can get something like:

    -Intel 120GB mSATA3 550/500MBs (SSDMCEAC120B301) for ~$56

    -Crucial 128GB mSATA3 M550 (CT128M550SSD3) for ~$67

    -A-DATA 128GB mSATA3 SP310 (ASP310S3-128GM-C) for ~$75

    BTW, I live in Poland

    Hi vasco,

You have another possiblity from your Acer store. The cheapest is the Toshiba SSD of 128Gb -KN.1280A.002):

You can request a quote and place an order from your Acer store in using the customer service form.

    In the form:

1- You select in "Please Select a Subject: Other"

2- In "Describe the Problem:", you indicate the S/N of the computer.

    3- Example:

"Price request for the following spare parts:

         - P/N, description

         - Etc"

You'll receive a quote by mail (pdf document). You can also phone them.

The drive caddy is available on both Ebay and Amazon...not as cheap as you might think though.  Cheapest was around $19 from some place in Poland on Ebay. Also, available in US on Ebay for around $28. On Amazon I found it sourced from Acer for almost $50. (!)

thanks every one i just boght a 850evo 500GB to replace my hdd as OS carier and my hdd become 2nd drive to carry large data, as i see their only one sata that support SATA3 and another just sata2 port ,for this time i think buy a sata is still better than msata for price and warranty
