 My note book version is E5 - 571G- 78WQ. Today i have tried to run the Android Studio emulator but its says HAXM is noot installed in my computer. So i've tried to install it but an error message will pop and says you have to enable the VT -x (Intel Virtualization Technology). i cannot find it on BIOS settings. I think ACER company hide that option from users. i did the BIOS update but still the same problem. Looking forward a quick solution. Thank you Smiley Happy

    there's no option to enable or disable Intel VT-x because it is ENABLED by default whether you like it..or you like it very much. You can try other programs to verify if you have VT-x running, you probably have to configure something in Windows or on Android Studio or there is a bug on detecting OR probably it needs more than Intel VT-x to fix that error (like maybe HAXM drivers or an additional app)

    Also try disabling Hyper-V if you don't use it because it "could" theoretically disrupt other apps from using/detecting Intel VT-x. Also to confirm if your CPU and Mobo does support and currently running VT-x try running CPU-z.

    @trett

    Thank you in advance for your kindly reply. I've found a solid solution for this problem in Intel web site.

    Go to MyPC / right click / Advanced System Settings / Advanced / In Performance click SETTINGS / Data Execution Prevention and enable DEP for all programs and services.

    This is working fine. Nothing to do except this Smiley Happy
