Aspire 5332 - installing Win 7 from recovery disks

Recently my Aspire 5332 HD was binned and replaced with a new HD.

I could not access the Recovery partition or any part of the HD to create a clone or Recovery disk.

I could not find my disk I created along time ago.

I did foolishly installed a trial version of Windows, now saying "not a genuine copy"

.

Carried out all the Updates and installed my own Antivirus and Malware software also created my own folders etc.

Today I've ordered a new set of Recovery media disks from Acer.

My questions:-

1) Using the Acer Recovery disk, will I have to copy all my files, images etc before using the disk. Where it will clean install deleting everything.

2) Or will the disk install over the version already on the HD leaving all my files, AV and Malware programs intact.

Thanks

you need to backup all your personal data/files, before installing using the Acer erecovery media, since the HDD must be completly blank or the recovery process will fail.

    so:

    1) backup all your files

    2) wipe the HDD (must be unallocated space)

    3) install using Acer erecovery

    4) install all your programs and restore your personal files
