HOW LONG DOES F10 REFRESH USUALLY TAKE ON ASPIRE WITH OS 8.1 64BIT

ASPIRE AXC-603G 8.1

INTEL J2900

8GB DDR

1TB HD

HELLO, I CHOSE THE F10 REFRESH AND ITS STILL GOING FOR OVER AN HOUR. THE SYSTEM WOULDN'T BOOT UP TO DESKTOP, JUST BLACK SCREEN. SO I FOLLOWED YOUR TIPS I FOUND HERE AND GOT IT THIS FAR. SHOULD I LET IT COOK LIKE THIS OR TRY SOMETHING ELSE?

    i think 1 hour is enough, try to reboot pressing ALT+F10, maybe something ferezed the installation.

    I did that after it finally gave error. Same scenerio. Can i test HD without going into windows?

    if you are able to burn an iso file to CD or USB flash drive, you can download this:

    under HDD menu you can do some tests:

    /HDD/Diagnosis

     

    please be aware that you need to set legacy  instead of UEFI and disable secure boot on BIOS, to be able to boot from it.
