Files will not transfer

In Windows Explorer I want to transfer files from my camera to a folder on the C drive.  When I drag the files to the desired folder, the blue-circle-of-death just spins, and spins, and spins.  At the top of the window it says "not responding".

Why is it locking up?  This new Acer is acting like my old 486 machine.

Thank you, Kristopher

This does not seem to be an issue with the computer and could happen due to device compatablity of device connected to the USB port.

Remove the memory card  and insert it in the card reader of your computer and transfering the files.

    What computer do you have?

    What operating system?

    What camera?

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Jordan,

I have 2 cameras, a point-shoot & SLR.  This new Acer has Windows 8.1, there were 28 updates that needed to done.

After the updates I turned off the computer and now it it working again.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question.
