Acer iconia b1-730HD screen problem

Hello.

I have a problem with my 4 month old Acer iconia b1-730HD.

The problem is the display. There are faint horizontal lines covering my screen. The tablet functions like any other Acer thablet but these lines are about 7 pixels apart from each other and they are slightly brighter than what is being displayed. It almost looks like 500 pieces of thin string going across the screen. The lines show up the most on grey and orange.

Every time I lock my tablet the lines get worse to a point that I have to restart my tablet so I can use it without getting really annoyed.

Is there a good way to fix it and if not is there any way that I could send it to Acer so that they can repair it or replace it?

Thank you for reading this

Yours sincerely

Remo.

i suspect an hardware issue, so you must contact the Acer support service.

by the way, you can try a factory reset to check if is not a software issue (highly doubt), but backup your personal data first:

    settings/backup&reset/factory data reset

If I have all of the boxes ticked will it restore my tablet when I factory reset it or would I have to use a computer.

    Just making sure.

it will restore only what you synced to your Google account, the first time you will have data connection after the factory reset:

    contacts

    downloaded applications

    some system settings

OK I'll give it a factory reset. If it doesn't work I'll let you know and then I can see if I can get it sent off for repair

Unfortunately the factory reset didn't fix it. So I will look into getting it fixed.

    Thanks for the suggestion

I have encountered a new problem after factory resetting my tablet.

The problem is that after I restart the tablet it doesn't save the WiFi passwords.

Is there a way to fix it

    Yours sincerely
