Delete all instances of .BackupManager?

Hi, I tried using Acer Backup Manger installed on my Acer Aspire 5750-9422 with Windows 7, but it's all around clunky and slow, so I've since stopped using it. It left hidden folders called .BackupManager everywhere, and they're interfering with another program, so I'm trying to get rid of them.

I was searching for them through Windows Explorer and deleting them manually, but eventually came across some in areas I just cannot get permission to delete from. If I log in as an admin, the folders don't even appear. How do I get rid of them all?

    AAurion,

Would it be easier to do a system restore to factory defaults and then uninstall the program?

...that's kind of my last resort, since the first solution to a problem like this shouldn't be "reset your whole computer"...

    I'm not an Acer employee.

This will not work if the Acer BackupManager program has already been uninstalled.  The Windows' fix will ask for the program creating the problem from the list it creates of INSTALLED programs (similar to the Add/Remove command).  Since, like myself, I expect the OP has already uninstalled the Acer BackupManager program and is now left with thousands of .BackupManager folders and list files, that program will not appear on the generated list..

I located all of them with the Windows search feature, and I can see the hidden files/folders.  When I attempt to delete them to the Recycle bin, it takes too long for each one (likely due to them all having an identicle name); and it appears that not all are deleting.  I then attempted with [Shift]+[Del] to bypass the Recycle bin, but nothing would occur unless I do them individually, which is not a task I want to continue for over 8,000 folders.

I noticed that some of them would not even delete individually (and I did check the properties to make certain they were not read-only).
