I received an ACER Aspire 5630 computher from a friend.  The OS is Vista Home Premium.

The CD DVDW TST Corp   TS-L6320 is not funcational.  I have delete the device Device manager.  Rbooted and while installing the driver it has failed.  This drive is inoperatable

It appears the Acer support and drivers for the device is not available.

Where do i find the driver or what is the solution to get this working

normaly DVD/CD drives don't need drivers to work but give a try to this 2 things:

or give a check to this Windows KB:

    Thank you for the response.

First I tried using the MS fixit software but apparently this software appears to conect to a Microsofts server for what ever reason and unable to do so the software failed.     Since my 2nd problem is being unable to access the network either hardwired or wireless.  So, I wasn't able to use MS FIXIT.   I have had the assistance of Trendnet's premium support tech resolve this problem and unable to do so.    This computer I believe has a few issues more than likely with the OS.

Anway, the 2nd option modifying the registry resolved the problem and the CD/DVD device is working now.

Now I'll work in an effort to resolve this connectivity problem.

    Thanks for your help,
