I have an Acer Aspire 7739g-6647 laptop.  PC shutdown improperly.  There is no wireless adapter shown in Device Manager and no Wireless services running.  Tried system restore but did not work.  Tried hitting Fn key and F3 key and cannot get wireless to turn on.  This is the second time this has happened during shutdown.

This also has happened to me, I have an Acer 5253-BZ849, this is exactly what happened to me about a month ago, I never figured it out  I ended up buying a USB wireless . I also did a system restore...to 'Out of the Box' and that did nothing to get it back. I did try to install the driver but it's pretty confusing trying to choose which driver goes to what..I mean there's the 2 different wireless drivers, when I tried to install the wireless for Atheros driver it said I have no card installed..But I do, the wired ethernet works fine..Like you I shut down,..Mine was due to a power loss, when I fired it back up...absolutely no wireless at all. Nothing in the device manager..No yellow triangles, not a thing..Only my ethernet. The signal in my home was broadcasting I was able to use other wireless devices. So...now I'm dog slow using a USB wireless, because no one can figure it out.  This is not a hard used laptop, we used it maybe 20-30 hours before this happened. The warranty just expired in Oct. So I guess that means...'Figure it out". Hope and really really pray that someone can help on this.

    Like I said I have Win 7 64bit/Acer 5253

    Thanks Fleet
