Acer Aspire Easystore - HDD fail

Hi all, years ago I bought a NAS from Acer "Aspire Easystore", part. no. ST.EASYL.2TB.

Yesterday 1 of the 4 hard disks failed (raid 5). Looking on the internet for an, exactly the same, new one I remained shocked. No replacements parts are available on the internet, only used ones ! So I copied all to another disk and shut off the nas.

Now. Which hdd can i buy as a safe subsitute without compromising the remaining data, i.e. is there any known limitations on replacing disks (limitations on specific brands or versions) ?

The NAS mounts 4 Seagate's Baracude model ST3500830AS (7200.10).

Hope somebody can advise on this.

Tks

I've been too busy for a while so I reply only now. I have not been able to find any detailed information on the HD from Packard Bell KH.01K01.005. So how to now if the size, attachments etc. match ?

At the end I found the following hard disk KH.50001.004 (HDD.25mm.500GB.7K2.S-ATA2.LF) on a famous swedish spare parts supplier webside. Approx Euro 100,- incl shipment. Installed in 5 minutes and the nas runs as before. Pfff.

    Tks.

I also have recently suffered a hard drive fail, and am having no luck finding a hdd compatibility list of any kind.

Currently 1TB drives and since 1 has failed, I have copied all data onto a single 3TB drive, so i am prepared to replace all drives with either 2TB or 3TB drives and start a new raid 6 (5+1, i think).

    Can you help?

    P/N:   ES.TR100.270IE

Everything i see says the SNID needs to be 11 or 12 numbers, but mine is only 8

    it is 90603174

    Please help

After a long search for the hdd's the other users indicated at the end I used the "zandparts" website. Ordered it, installed it in 5 minutes and all worked. Pfff.
