I ordered a G227HQL bi monitor and it came with the wrong monitor stand and power adapter

The monitor stand that came with it says S220HQL, S242HL, and S240HL with a dot on the S240HL, and the power brick says it outputs 19V at 2.1A when the monitor requires 19V at 1.58A, so I can't use the monitor stand at all and I don't want to damage my monitor with the wrong power adapter. It just came in today, how can I get Acer to ship me the right equipment?

It's refurbished from Acer, and those links say it has no warranty so it won't let me contact them.

Since it is a refurbished unit, you may contact the Store from where you have purchased it. Acer directly does not sell any refurbished product's.

You can also get the parts you need directly from Acer store :  Acer Store

You have the option to contact the sales number, chat or email in the above store weblink.

Well, I bought it from the Acer outlet http://us-outlet.acer.com/Acer-21-5-Widescreen-Monitor-G227HQL/dp/B00LQIZAJ6 , I've been trying to call the number they gave on the piece of paper they shipped the monitor with but I haven' been home before their closing hours yet this week. I may be able to today, though.

Edit: Just "contacted the seller" on amazon, since I used my amazon account to log in when I bought it for the protection

Looking at the site, I see "All manufacturer refurbished products include a 90-Day Limited Manufacturer Warranty.". You should be able to contact them (service and support):

by phone at 877-270-6866 or email outletorders@acer.com

For the record, your supplied PSU @ 2.1A is perfectly fine for your monitor @1.58A (assuming the polarity is correct of course). It simply means your PSU has more power on tap than is needed to supply the monitor (and should run cooler and last longer). Your monitor will still draw 1.58A and no more. In reality, Acer quote this monitor as having a power consumption of 25Watts so would draw 1.31A. The 'correct' PSU would have 0.27A overhead.

Just remember: Voltage *must* be equal as it is 'pushed' into the monitor.

Amps must be equal to or greater as it is 'pulled' from the PSU by the monitor. The monitor will not draw more current than it requires.

Ideally, you would not use a PSU that has a max output that matches the requirement as this simply means you are running the PSU on the ragged edge of its capabilities with no overhead. (You wouldn't dream of doing that on your gaming tower!) Normally, you ensure that you have plenty of power in reserve.

That said, hopefully they will be able to provide you with what you purchased!

I had a friend who also got this monitor refurbished and I was also going off of what his adapter said, and I was finally home early enough to be able to call them a few days ago and they should be working on the order (I would have edited my last post but the edit button vanished(?)).
Thank's for the info on the power supply, turns out I was worried about something that wouldn't hurt me at all there.

Well it's always better to be safe than sorry! I offered the additional info for reference only of course!! All this electric magic is done at the owners risk!!!

Glad to hear you have made contact and they are sorting things out for you.

The power adapter got here over two weeks ago, but after talking with support, they have given me the tracking number of the stand that was supposed to ship over a week ago that still hasn't gotten to the UPS facility. They're saying they will credit me for some of my purchase if I get a new stand and send them the receipt. Any ideas for a stand that would work, or any similar display models that have standalone stands for sale online?

I can find no information on the G227HQL. However, the G226HQL, which is also a 21.5" model, uses the following stand:

Part Name: 'ASSEMBLY STAND & BASE BLACK'
Description: 'ASSY STAND AND BASE G236HL GLOSSY AND OR'
    Acer Part No.: '60.LWSM1.003'

I honestly have no idea if this is compatible with your model. The stand is certainly similar but whether or not it can be used as a replacement is another matter. Perhaps Acer can advise? It may be a good idea to get in touch with Acer customer support an ask for their help.

I've called them around five times and emailed them Yesterday. The last two times the representative said that the warehouse wasn't responding to his emails and told me to email warrantysupport@liquidation.com, so I did that last night.

Two weeks after the shipping label was created, the monitor stand got here and I'm able to use my monitor. All is well and the picture looks great
