Acer Aspire Swich 10 paint scratching easily

I got a refurbished Acer Aspire Switch back in December, and with normal use, the paint has started chipping. On the top bezel (which I thought was solid metal), the paint had a large chip that is highly noticable. The bottom of the keyboard attachment has a series of dots where the bezel rests when closed. Also, the palmrests have little rising dots that leave black marks. As I have recently purchased this product, I am very dissapointed at the lack of quality. Is there any way to prevent or fix this problem?

Thanks for the feedback, ajaksalad.  Refurbished products are not owned nor sold by Acer.  When units go into the refurb cycle they are owned and processed by a 3rd party.  However, since our name brand remains on the product, Acer does maintain a monitor on the processes and the product quality to be sure that the quality remains high.  I have passed your comment on to our people who work with the refurb providers to investigate this issue.  We generally do not allow 'painting' of the case surfaces, for exactly the reason that you mentioned.  We have not seen this complaint before on  either new or refurbed products, so we are investigating.  Thank you for alerting us.

Hello again ajaksalad.  Both Acer and our refurb service provider are very interested in seeing this Switch unit with the paint chipping issues.  Because of the very unusual nature of your report, we would like to offer you an exchange of your Switch with another refurbed unit of the same configuration.  Please let me know here if you would be interested in such a swap.  At that point we can arrange the details.  Thanks.

Thank you for your proactive interest in customer satisfaction. I am happy I made the decision to buy from Acer seeing as you care deeply for the brand. I would love to switch out the unit. Please let me know how to proceed.
