I have an Acer Aspire A5600U 23" All-in-one. It looks and feels like my screen has a plastic film over it (rough edges, ragged opening around camera, un-cleanable - there are smudges which look internal) but it doesn't want to come off!! It seems really stuck and hard! By the way, this model is not touch screen enabled. Help me please!

    Hello,

Could you give me the first ten characters of the AIO serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

HI thanks! Well, not sure if the letters count ... but here is the first 10 (the rest is in brackets in case you mean numbers only)

    DOSNPAA001 ... the rest *****

You have made a little mistake:

DQ.SNPAA.001 - Aspire A5600U-UB13 ( With touch panel and touch control board).

I think the screen is protected by a plastic film.

I think so too ... but I want to take the plastic away and it seems impossible because it's stuck hard!

About the touch screen function, have you tried to re-install these drivers (Windows 8-64):

    OthersWistronOther pilotes (Panel)1.00.05211.3 MB2012/09/26Download

    The film is glued so...

Yes it's possible to post a picture. Use the "Insert/edit image" button in the tool bar of the text editor.

I won't see immediately your picture. It must be accepted by the moderator.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the delay.

Yes I see your picture. This looks like "traces of condensation". Is it inside or outside?

If it's inside, it should be fully disassemble the AIO to clean the film.

    Hello,

I only found this article on the Aspire U5600. See the Bios issue chapter:

"You need remove just two screws to take off the Aspire U’s back"
