insydeH20 setup utility(Acer V5-473PG )
Dear Sir,
I have Acer V5-473PG laptop for more than a year now and using W8.1. My problem now is (since a month ago) every time I boot my laptop, the screen will come to "insydeH20 setup utility". Then I have to press escape, press enter for "Yes" and the screen will continue to Windows. FYI, my W8.1 is working very fine as far as I can see.
This happens every time whenever I boots/starts my laptop. Is this a bad sign for me? Is my laptop going to R.I.P?

Sorry to hear you are having problems, there are a couple things we can try:
Enter the BIOS and restore defaults to make sure there wasn't something changed accidentally.
Attempt a start up repair on your system to see if that resolves the issue.
Attempt a system restore to before you started having this problem.
Perform a refresh to try and repair the Windows operating system files, some programs may be lost with that function, which was why I listed it last.

Sorry I'm not a computer expert thus I don't know where to start in response to your solutions. Could you help me to do the best? Please help to show me in details like how to enter BIOS, restore defaults and start up repair or anything.
I've referred to Microsoft Com prior to Acer Com but they suggested that this will be under Acer maintenance. Therefore I don't want to touch on Windows program. But referring to your solutions, it looks like you're suggesting me to work on Windows page (are you?). I maybe can do Windows but if it comes to BIOS, I'm weak. Slight mistake and my Windows is gone.
My windows is actually working very fine. It's just that when I boot (after 24 hours off) it'll come to the setup utility. But sometimes, if reboot in between 2 to 3 hours or less than 24 hours, it'll straight away goes to Windows.
Another questions, if I to restore Windows to 2 or 3 months ago, how about all the windows updates during the period, will I lost it and have to reupdate?
Sorry again as I'm no expert.

As far as a system restore goes, yes you would need to do all the Windows updates again that were done within that time period. Here is an article on how to complete it with Windows 8/8.1 for your convenience: How to Restore Windows from a Restore Point

Thanks for your reply and vids. I'm most likely choose your #1 and #4 solutions from before. However, before I start doing anything, I've few questions below:
Solution #1 Enter the BIOS and restore defaults. I found this Acer Com vid Reset BIOS or UEFI to default settings but it didn't explain afterwards. If I do this what will happen to my Windows/Laptop? Will it RESET to factory setting? Correct me if I'm wrong but most videos I've viewed stated RESET to factory setting.
Solution #2 Perform a refresh to try and repair the Windows operating system files. I'd like to try #1 solution before this one because reinstalling the updates is quite troublesome.
Please help to advise me on #1.

Glad you found that video, I thought to myself after I posted that I should have included that for you so you didn't have to hunt it down. LoL To answer your question in solution 1, resetting the BIOS to defaults will not restore your system back to factory settings, you'll be okay.

The #1 solution works!! I've been rebooting my laptop for at least 5 times already and it went straight to windows. No more BIOS. Well, at least for now. Then I have no need to restore my windows.

I purchased an Acer Aspire Laptop less than a year back. Right now everytime I on the laptop it takes me to the setup utility page. And even after I save it to default settings and exit , it restarts my laptop to the same setup utility page.
It's got me thinking of my choice of buying an Acer laptop.
I have not faced this issue with my laptop from other brands. It's not even been a year and facing this issue.
