Windows 8 freezes at lockscreen

Hey guys!

I recently had a fresh installation of windows 8 on my S3 - 951. I booted from a USB flash drive where I had the installation execution file and just proceeded from there. After installing all the drivers and such, almost everytime I would start it up, the computer would just freeze on the lockscreen and I would have to manually shut it down and restart it multiple times till I could eventually log in. Many people suggested that through installing and formatting my main HDD I might have messed around with the SSD and I can't figure out whether my disk partitioning is all messed up now or not. I went onto DISKPART and this is what I got:

DISKPART> list vol

Volume ###  Ltr  Label                   Fs         Type          Size        Status         Info

  ----------          ---  -----------              -----     ----------       -------        ---------       --------

Volume 0              SYSTEM RESE      NTFS   Partition     100 MB     Healthy     System

Volume 1       C                             NTFS   Partition     215 GB     Healthy      Boot

Volume 2              PQSERVICE         NTFS   Partition     14 GB       Healthy      Hidden

Does this seem about right?

    Good day

The partition does seem correct. In the bios, change your sata mode to AHCI, test, change to IDE and test. Also do a bios update for your machine and check fi you can get your SDD firmware update as well from the SSD manufacturer.

    Regards,

I would recomend you Format the hdd an create the partitions again and update the BIOS to UEFI firmware and instal windows 8.
