I am only seeing my background picture on the tv screen even though my monitor works fine. Do I need to install new drivers to make a second monitor work?

if you want to use only your TV

    if you have windows 8

    press

    windows key logo + p

    and choose

    second screen only

    if you have window 7

    press

    windows key logo + p

    and choose

    projector only

if you want to have the same screen (duplicate), just choose duplicate from the same options above.
