Thanks - that is very helpful. Now I am trying to find the replacement fan - Acer is not very helpful it getting that.

You can do any thing your self just make sure you put all the screws back in after you done stripping , i lose them some times Smiley Wink

thanks for all your help - I ordered the fan. ($10.-) Considering the PC is 3.5 years old and I paid $700.- for it and any professional service would cost $250.- and up I can't go wrong. If it works, thanks to you - great. If it doesn't - an other one bites the dust........
