how do I update the email addresses stored on my laptop?

My laptop has remembered a number of old email addresses - which it offers when I start to make an entry in that field - how do I remove the old addresses from the memory?

Hi,
Its not stored by he computer, that is by your Email provider like Gmail. or if its in forms in internet explorer, get to IE options from settings>delete> form data. If in your mail account, then you need to delete those entries from Address book,. Cheers.

Hi there, thanks for your swift response. You may have guessed I'm a biit of a technophobe so I hope you'll bear with me.

I use I.E.(11), I know how to find settings, but at that point there is no delete option. I've been through IE options but not found anything - am I missing something, somewhere?
