Hey there peoples

I have had a A1-830 for a few months now and have always had excellent WiFi strength from my belkin N+ router but suddenly a week ago WiFi has dropped to almost non existence and I have to be pretty much sitting on the router to get 3 bars.

have tried a factory reboot, changing channels in the router and security setting but all to no avail.

Anybody have any other ideas?

Cheers

Wolfey

This can happen when the antenna wires come loose from their connectors. If you are within warranty Acer will fix it for you, just contact support. If you are out of warranty and fairly handy with small tools you can open it up and plug them back in yourself. If you are uncomfortable with that, most any computer technician could do it for you.

Sorry to not be any help, but i am having exactly the same experience with mine. Hopefully my emotional support might be of some comfort. So far, my tablet has been a disappointment. No problems have been fixed and others seem to keep popping up.

On this image, they connect to the black rectangle at center bottom. There are two of them.
