    Hello,

I saw on your previous topic you have a Veriton M498G.

For this model, there is only one motherboard:

    MB.VAN07.002MAIN BD.H57.VM490.LF

    The original CPUs are:

    KC.54001.CI3CPU.CI3-540.3.06G/4M/1333/C2
    KC.55001.CI3CPU.CI3-550.3.2G/4M/1333/K0
    KC.65001.CI5CPU.CI5-650.3.2G/4M/1333/C2
    KC.K6501.CI5CPU.CI5-650.3.2G/4M/1333/K0

So it is a Socket H (LGA 1156) MB, Yes?

    If so

    As per:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1156

        Supported processors

Code name Brand name Model (list) Frequency Cores/Threads Max Memory Speed

    LynnfieldCore i5i5-7xx2.66-2.8 GHz4/4DDR3-1333
    Core i7i7-8xx2.8-3.07 GHz4/8
    XeonL34xx1.86 GHz4/4 or 4/8
    X34xx2.4-2.93 GHz
    ClarkdaleCeleronG1xxx2.26 GHz2/2DDR3-1066
    PentiumG6xxx2.80 GHz2/2
    Core i3i3-5/9xx2.93-3.33 GHz2/4DDR3-1333
    Core i5i5-6xx3.2-3.6 GHz2/4

I should be able to run an Lynnfield i7-8xx chip.

But I think it would take a different votage then the original CPU.

Do you know where I can find the pin settings for a Lynnfield i7-8xx chip?

    Thanks for all your help,

    Greg
