T232HL - useless for pen writing because of lag/ cursor delay

Hello

I bought a T232HL touch screen hoping it was usable for teaching/lecturing when cloned to projector, but when trying this seems impossible because of a large delay in response of my writing. I'm using it with Win7 64b.

Typically when writing at normal speed the cursor lays approx 1 inch behind my pen/ finger. This makes it impossible to understand what is written.

Also when you draw a curved line at normals speed the recognized touch tends to cut the curve resulting in a shape different from the one I draw. If you write at REALLY slow speed the delay is not so problematic

My Q's:

- Is this behaviour normal for this schreen?

- Any way to rectify or minimize this delay?

- Is there any software eliminating this problem?

Thanks in advance

    HiKSU,

I would suggest going through the calibration setup and check the Tablet PC Settings and Pen and Touch settings that should be found in the Control panel of your computer.

Sorry to say but this answer was not useful. Screen tested on several computers and same behaviour on all.

Acer Support has accepted DOA - returning this week.

I am happy you got in touch with technical support for one on one troubleshooting. I apologize if you found my suggestions not useful as they were only some first step troubleshooting steps and I unfortunately was not aware if you have tried them or not. Please have a wonderful New Year and I hope you have a better experience with your replacement.

I bought several T232HL monitors respectively and last 2 have the same problem with HiKSU, and I tried the method Ryan suggested, and as I expected, it's useless (because it is LAG, not position offset).

I'm in Taiwan and submited a letter to customer service yesterday, no response until now. The first monitor has no such issue, so I think it is a hardware or firmware problem. I would be appreciated if a engineer of Acer can review this problem.
