Peter, Unfortunetly, I don't have any better news or solution. I wind up just using a regular USB mouse whenever I can, and suffer with the trackpad when it's not possible.

Unfortunate, because I like the laptop itself pretty well, but I use it less often than I'd like because I hate the trackpad so much. (I also notice it's responsiveness is poor and inconsistent. Sometimes it picks up feather light touches, sometimes it barely registers my fingers at all).

You can't even uninstall the driver and reinstall different drivers. I'm very tempted to see if I can change out the physical touchpad itself, but that will have to wait until the warranty expires...

I;ve just bought an Acer Aspire E11-111M and its got the same touchpad/mouse issue of having no Touchpad Properties whereby you can set up options for middle click buttons, or corners on the touchpad area etc.

Really disappointed that I cant customise these that I'm sending it back as Not Fully Working.

I've got another 4 Acer products which DONT have this problem so ACER have really messed up with this...get it sorted out please Acer.

I figure this out in the first 10 minutes. Press FN + F12 - You have to enable the scroll lock (SCR LK). That's really it. No driver issues.

You just have to turn on the Scroll Lock.  Also, if you want to change the scroll direction, because it's backwards, go to search on the app side, then type "touchpad" and all the settings are there. I think the touchpad shares the mouse setting as far as how fast and slow it goes. There is a button for reverse scrolling.

When it's activated, you have to use two fingers to scroll (like in mac) and it works on the entire mouse pad.

Also, if your having issues with wifi dropping, it's Mcafee doing that on purpose to make sure it doesn't transmit info over the wifi. So delete.

If you want to turn the trackpad off, Press FN+ F7 (this is useful because when I'm writing.)

    You're welcome.
