Try a factory reset but do a backup of your personal data before.

    Settingd/backup&reset/factory reset

Or try to charge the battery with tablet powered off if it allows.

I gave reset, but is the same, even when the loaded extinguished, no more than a dash, stays there. the idea is that the battery just keeps me just as android does not show accurate battery level.

I have the same problem too. My battery stuck at 2 %. The battery is fine only the counter doesn't change. Don't wanna make a full reset.

Contact Acer support service if under warranty.

It sounds like an issue with the battery charge calculation, or the battery sensors. I assume by the 'battery is fine' that it runs for quite a while when started with a full, 2%, charge? I agree with Ironfly, best if Acer goes ahead and fixes it for you. If it is the sensors then without a fix they might allow overcharging and would likely not optimize the usage correctly. You don't want an early failure due to faulty sensors...

    Thank you very much.

well I did a full reset. The problem still exists.

not a good thing to empty completly the battery.

can you try to power off and then connect the AC adapter?

let's see if it can charge the battery.

I charged it powered on last night and it read 98% battery.  I unplugged charger and turned it off, then turned it back on about 30 minutes later and would not stay on and battery has read 1% ever since.  Sometimes, it will say "plugged in, not charging" while it is powered on and plugged in.  If it is not powered on and charging, it seems to stop charging and when I power on, battery says 1%.  I think it will have to be sent in to be fixed.  I've tried different chargers and cables and a hard reset as well.

I empty the battery and charged with power off the whole night.  Still the same 2℅.

Now I made some progress. If I empty the battery to zero and put in the charger, then the counter is always changing. Once 10 % than 60% than 35% and so on. And one thing if the tablet is restarted it forgets the wifi password.

I have the same kind of problem on a b1-730. The battery meter is stocked to 47%.

I have now installe a Battery app and it says that as around 4.3 Volts between

    its contacts.

According to some wikis on lithium batteries this battery should be

    fully charged.

It appears that there is software problem on my tablet.

Yes I thought so. I've sent the tablet to repair center the end of january.
They informed me: they will update the software. I hope next week will be ready.
So if you have the same problem, maybe the update will be available OTA.

Using the Battery application I have monitored manually the battery

voltage versus time when charging. I obtained the following numbers

for my Iconia One 7 b1-730.

    Elapsed time Voltage

    00:00            3,674

    00:06            3,696

    00:15            3,748

    00:23            3,76

    00:40            3,813

    01:05            3,985

    01:22            4,09

    01:57            4,181

    02:25            4,255

This curve is actually going to have a ceiling at around 4.3 Volts and maybe more.

According to my web research. Charging a Li-ion battery at 4.3 Volts is not

a good idea. Although it will increase its capacity, il will reduce significaly

its expected number of recharged cycles perhaps to bellow a few hundred.

When the battery is dead the only thing to do is to send the tablet to

recycling and buy an other. That is a very well planned obsolescence

    strategy.

If you whan to keep your tablet for a few years guys, you will have to

recharge that battery manually keeping an eye on the voltage.

I have the same problem. My tabley is stuck at 2%. I'm trying to reinstall the OS, not wipe data, I wanna delete all the OS. I think is a software issue.

I downloaded the firmware from the acer web page:

    http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/OS/OS/OS_Acer_Acer.AV0K0.B1-730.RV01RC01.WW.GEN1_A44K_A.zip?acerid=635567119594638672&Step1=TABLET&Step2=ICONIA ONE 7&Step3=B1-730&OS=ALL&LC=es&BC=ACER&SC=EMEA_11

Copied the zip to an SD Card... restart the tablet with the power button and the volume... select "apply update from an sd" but it shows this:

FAILED TO MOUNT /MNT/SDCARD1 (NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY)

    What am I doing wrong?
