Acer K 11 support Dolby 5.1?

Does the Acer K 11 projector support Dolby Digital 5.1? I understand that it does not have an audio output, but someone from Monoprice told me that if I use the K 11 inconjunction with a multi HDMI input switcher (for X-Box, Set-Top Box, Apple TV), and if the K 11 does not support 5.1, then the audio output on the switcher will not allow 5.1. Here is the note from Monoprice: "The S/PDIF Optical (Toslink) and Digital Coax audio output formats are based on the HDMI audio output. If any of the sync devices (e.g., HDTV, Projector, etc.) connected to the output can only support stereo audio, then the S/PDIF Optical (Toslink) and Digital Coaxial outputs will be limited to PCM stereo audio."

Please help.
