Switch 10: Battery life unimpressive

Thanks for that;  I've tried the Sleepstudy you suggested, and found that the Switch was losing about ½% capacity per hour, which is more than an InstantGo device should; Wikipedia quotes Microsoft as saying 'systems must not drain more than 5% of battery capacity while idle over a 16-hour period '. However, it's not an amount I'm going to lose a lot of sleep over myself, though I might try some of the hints you can find here, like disabling lock screen notifications. Maybe they'll help you?

My major concern - & the reason the Switch is going back for repair - was the length of time taken to charge.  At over 6 hours, it's far too long, and shouldn't be getting affected much by any InstantGo drain.  That's why I was asking for someone else to run BatteryInfoView to see if anyone else's Switch showed the same sort of time.

    Cheers

Hi - an update on our long charging time problem; finally sent the Switch off to Acer on Monday - it was returned on Wednesday (pretty impressive!) with a diagnosis of a faulty battery.  It was fully charged, and lasted with moderate use from Wednesday afternoon till late Thursday evening, then took just under 3hrs to fully charge this morning.  Happy with that.
