Recovery Process Issues

I replaced a hard drive in my Netbook and am using a recovery disc set from ACER. I am using the instructions that came with the discs.

I have an external CD Drive, and inserted the System Disc first and when it gets to the recovery type selection screen the only selection I am able to make is exit. The three recovery types are not selectable....this is very frustrating.

Operating system is Windows 7.

Please help me.

Check your Biosfor secure boot and disable it and set Sata mode to IDE.

Thanks for the help! As you directed I changed the SAITA setting, but did not have an option to disable secure boot. However, while looking around I noticed that the system does not recognize the new Hard Drive.

After you saved the sata setting as IDE and rebooted it should now recognize the HDD.
