Is there any way to get higher resolution on the HDMI out?

I do not get full screen on the TV, even though it reports 1080P

On a laptop, I can get higher resolution.

Mine works fine doing full screen 1920x1080 to a projector.

How do you get it to do that? I use the screen resoluton from the desktop, and it does not show any res that high.

Are you cloning the display or outputing only over hdmi?

I'm curious scosgt, what did you firure out.  My first attempt I was only able to get a decent TV output by Extending the W4's display which -- for me -- puts the W4 in Portrait with the TV in LAndscape.  I then need a mouse on the W4 to move what I want displayed on the TV over to the expended (TV) display.

Cloning it went to 800 x 600 with it sideways on the TV and both were only covering part of the middle of both displays.  I emailed Acer about this. With pictures.

It works fine any mode other than "duplicate displays" and is an Intel issue not Acer's. The problem is that the TV/Tablet have no display resolution in common and they both must be set the same to duplicate.

When presenting I have a little Pazzport KP-810-108TT hand held keyboard/touchpad/laser pointer that works fine and fits in an eyglass case.

It can also handle multiple displays easily, at my workstation I have a Targus dock and use my W3 with two 24" displays at 1920x1080 and a real keyboard/mouse plus a lot of other stuff.

Yes, this is normal. When you clone both devices have to be at the same resolution. The TV reports the different resolutions it's supports as part of the HDMI initialization, and it's not saying it supports the native resolution of the W4, so the resolution is stepped down to the highest value where they do match.

Thanks for the rez reminder, ACE Billsey.  It's probably been 10-15 years since I last tried connecting a computer to a TV, Fujitsu's first 10" tablet, a great little Windows XP device.
