When using Skype or Hangout with an external monitor via HDMI, everything goes well until I conect my own camera. I can see and ear the counterpart perfectly but, when conecting my camera the external monitor shuts off and the image returns to the tablet. Is this normal due to not enough video power or is a defect? Is it due to some video or security configuration? I want to use the A1-810 as a support for video chat in a TV set.

  • Hi,

    1. How do you connect the external cam, is that using the Micro USB port,. if that is the case I dont find that you would be able to use the Camera & external display @ the same Time

It happens every time I connect the tablet camera. Camera on - external monitor off. When I connect the camera it turns off the screen rotation lock and shuts off the TV set image

i never tried but i think it's normal to have HDMI switched off when you start the camera application.

enabling both can be very heavy tasks for a tablet, expecially for battery, cpu and ram.

Have you tried with the AC charger connected to the A1?

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Still doesn't work. I wonder anyone with a similar tablet would test it to see if it is normal
