Girlfriend bought this laptop yesterday from Currys and I've had a good look myself at this issue but I'm not sure how to resolve it. From a Google search it seems like this problem was prevalent a year and a half ago or so (earlier model with same model number?) and I found another thread on this forum with the same issue posted 2 months ago but it wasn't resolved so I figured a fresh thread would be best.

Basically in both my house and hers the WiFi on the machine occasionally (not incredibly often, but enough to be annoying) drops and basically goes limited connectivity. Normally requires a manual reconnect to get back on. I tried it on ethernet at my house and it was fine so I'm 99% sure it's a WiFi specific issue.

The laptop shipped with Windows 8.1 and I've done all the Windows updates and like I said I believe the network drivers are all up to date. The network driver is Broadcom 6.30.223.234 which from what I can tell is the latest version.

Any suggestions to fix would be great. I'm assuming it'll require a manual driver patch of some kind but I can't find a later version or a fix if one exists from Acer directly. Thanks in advance.
