MAY I USE EITHER ? or does the difference 5300 and 6400 work with an Aspire 5517-5689, and the DDR2 also, sorry i just dont have a clue.Hunted for logistics and parameters,details but cannot find re: on my computer.HELP.....

    This model has DIMM socket and each slot supports maximum of 2 GB.
    This model is upgradeable to 4 GB with DIMM type of 200-pin +1.8V DDRII and 1.8V voltage, DIMM Speed 667/800 MHz.

    Yes, you can use either one. The difference in speed is not really something you would notice.
